December/January Book-haul.. so many books!

Hello! As you have noticed, I have been on a writing spree today. Sorry about the spam of reviews, but I wanted to put them out there once and for all after some time away from this blog. Worked pretty much every day in December which resulted in just reading and no reviewing because my head barely functioned.. Even drawing things every day in December was tough as my imagination was more or less non-existent most of the days. (Challenged myself to draw every day from 1. January - 31. December which I completed!! Yey!!) Anyways. So, in the meantime, while running low on energy and creativity, I might have gotten few more books since last time I was here... ahem...*cough*12 more books *cough*

I ordered Seconds Away without knowing that it was the second book in Harlan Coben's series... Guess I have to buy the first book before I start on that one.. Both Harlan Coben books are actually "research books" which is why I bought them btw😉

The three first books in the list were a christmas present from my grandmother, The Passenger was a christmas present from my boss (I got to choose a book from the shelf and chose that one😊) So technically I only bought 8/12 of these books😋

And that was all the books for now! My reviews are up-to-date and the same with this book-haul. What an effective few hours this has been😝

Oh well! These books have actually been on my desk for over a week now, but I haven't had the time nor energy to sit down and write tbh. Been in a zombie mode for a while..

So here we are again! New books (and less space left in my bookshelf)! I did actually have some kind of a reason for purchasing these two books though😛 They might sound weird but in my head these reasons sounded perfectly reasonable at the time. Almost..

Book #1: Lack of space for new english books in the store - Bought this one to get at least some space that I could fit some of the new ones. Did not take one just to get some space, I actually wanted to check it out as well so it was a "win-win" situation (and also a reason to buy a book)..

Book #2: Was the first to unpack these gorgeous looking copies of Fantastic Beasts at work - Bought one in case we ended up selling everyone by the end of the day. Turned out this was not as popular as the other HP book.. we still got plenty left in stock. But hey! At least I got one 😛

Excuses, excuses.. I know, but.. you know.. it sounded reasonable enough in my head😆


And that's the end of the last blog entry for today. Hopefully it won't be long till the next entry. I am currently reading The Sunrise by Victoria Hislop so there will be a new review up soon-ish. Gonna try and write it the same day I finish reading the book unlike the other review that took me almost 2 weeks to write. It's up now though so.. better late than never..?

Oh look! More books!

Like I said last time, no more promises about not buying any more books for a while. So here we are :P

It was half price on everything at work Wednesday evening so I decided to buy some books (you know... because it was 50% off... can't miss those deals, can ya? :P ) and I also bought a book yesterday when I was at work..for uhm.. research..*ahem*. So this week I ended up buying 6 more books to add to my collection. Three of those are in Norwegian and they are also some of the books I don't mind reading in my language. That also mean that I won't be doing any review on those since, you know, they're in Norwegian :P

More books... But I have a reason! I think...

Here we are again...more books in my bookshelves. I have been good though with not buying any books for a while. But this time I have a reason (kinda) because Jojo Moyes' book, Paris for One, just came out here in Norway in Norwegian. Since I work in a bookstore, I should do some research on at least some of the books I'm selling so that book is kind of a part of my "research". Buuuut, I ended up buying two more books. I didn't had to, but when I start buying books, I can't just buy one. It's a curse of mine. So I ended up buying Paris for One and two others. So here they are:

I bought them on Tuesday, but didn't have any time to write this post until today (like the review). Hopefully they will be the last ones for now. I know I have said it before, but... oh well...

Currently reading
Since I'm already here I can say that I have started on The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. This is actually a research tbh because there's been a few customers who's been asking me if I have read it so now I can finally say that, Yes, I am actually currently reading it or Yes, yes I have. Trust me, it's not easy to work in a bookstore when you've only read or have round 5% of the books in the store. Not easy at all! So anyway. This book... this book has started to get more and more interesting the more I read it. Things have started to happen and I'm looking forward to continue on it tonight before I fall asleep. Hopefully, I will finish it soon so you guys don't have to wait 100 years for my next review. I'm so sorry about that though. But life happens and the only time I feel like I can snuggle up with a book is when I'm going to bed.

Bookgeek + Working in a Bookstore = More books in my shelf

Told myself after last book haul that I wouldn't buy more books in a while...
Was quiet at work today and I ended up buying more books...
Maybe working in a bookstore is no good for me and my shelves (seriously!) :P Won't quit my job though no matter what so my shelves just has to deal with it!

So here we are, again, with 6 more books. On the bright side, I got a reason to blog about other things while waiting on the review for the book(s) I'm currently reading.

GISHWHES and new books!

And by new books, I mean the ones I bought a few weeks ago (after the previous blog post)...

I wanted to wait till I got all the books that I've ordered (also ended up buying a few more at work in the meantime) and today I finally got the last one in the mail. Yey!

Been waiting for this book for weeks! So happy to have this book which probably sound weird, but I am! :D Found out about Carrie Fletcher through her brother Tom who's in a band that I have been a fan of for 12 years (McFly if you wanted to know). And I've also been watching her videos on her youtube channels for the past few years. It's the same thing with Tom's wife, Giovanna and when I got her first book (Billy and me). I'm proud of them both for coming this far and am so happy to get the chance to read their books and also knowing that I will love the stories before I even read them.

So there's that!

Updates on currently-reading (and "gishing")

Not long now! Tried reading every day or more like every night and at work to finish this but it's taken me some time to finish it :P Been working and "gishing" this past week(s) so I haven't had that much time or energy to read for very long when lying in bed at night :P But the book is really good! In this book you get to know about how it all started and why people are living in silos. 

And talking about "gishing", this  year was the first time I signed up to GISHWHES (The Greatest Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen)! Have wanted to try it out for a few years, but haven't had the money or the guts to try it out. This year I decided to finally sign myself up and go through with it (also got my bf to sign up or more liked begged him to sign up with me).

Seriously... even thought I didn't do as much as my teammates, but I had lots of fun doing this! For someone who's shy, socially awkward and also got some degree of socially anxiety, this has been a huge thing for me to do. I literally dressed up as a prospector (looking for gold in a public fountain) and a zombie (at work) this week and that was waaay over my comfort zone. But I did it! Yey! And I also have to add that I made a panda out of sanitary pads (named him Padnalecki)....yeh... It turned out great though and the panda looked really cute X) But anyway.. it was a lot of fun and I hope that I'm able to do it next year too! 

Have to go now 'cause dinner's ready and I'm hungry!

Booksies and sales!

Last week I ended up ordering 6 books (one being a pre-order) and got one of the books this week. I wanted to wait with the "bookhaul post" till I got them all. After I bought three more books today (two of them was the rest of the Wool/Silo trilogy), I thought that I could make a post now and then write another one when I get the rest :)

I got me some new books...again! They just keep coming and I can't help it!

It's the sequel to her debut novel called Billy and me and I completely adored that book and her little short christmas story Christmas with Billy and me ^^

I am still reading Wool by Hugh Howey. So far so good even though I haven't read that much! :) It kind of reminds me of the place Clarke and the others ends up in season 2 of The 100 really. And the world is toxic so the people in this story can't go outside without dying. That too is similar to The 100. It does say that it's the new Hunger Games or something, so we'll see if they're right :P

New books and some update!

Long time, no see! Sorry about that... I haven't had the time to read much lately...or I have had time, but I've been looking after my friend's dogs and it wasn't that easy to feel relaxed enough to sit down and read my book. And that's my excuse this time...Oh! I also got a job now! In a bookstore! Yey! It's not much though, only 1 weekday and 1 Saturday every 3 weeks and some more during summer and when they need someone to take a shift. But it's something! :D

So, moving on to my new books, ey?
Today my bf and I went to this new geek store called Outland that opened last month and they had loads of geeky things and books there so I ended up buying 3 books (they were a bit cheap so I thought, why not?) and Castiel Pop! Funko thingy (now I got Destiel on my shelf! X) also bought s. 10 of spn too in a different store...).

As for the one I'm reading now, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman, I really like it so far even thought I haven't read that much. It was a nice change from The Twistrose Key because it's kinda the same, but more "grown up" and the "animals" are more or less humans in this one. Hopefully I will finish it soon and give you a review sometime this week or next week!

Books, books and more books! I was not supposed to go to the shopping center today, but after my dad told me that, if I came along I could buy a book... so I went, with my parents and ended up buying six books..whoopsie!

Hello! Yes, I got me some new books! Again...
That's have it goes when my mom need something at the bookstore...I can't help it :P

Oh well.. At least now I got an excuse to write here though. :)

Maybe I'll make a new page for each series/trilogies. So for you who don't want any spoilers you're safe to scroll down my blog :P Not I really write that much spoilers though.. so yeah. That's what I'm going to do after I'm finished here.

Aaaand when it comes to Edge of Eternity, I'm almost finished with it! FINALLY! Think I got around 100 pages or something left so the review will come any day now! Taken me ages to get through that book! 2 month! In case you're wondering; no, it's not boring, it's just that I haven't had that much time to read lately and don't feel like reading while my bf staying over for almost a week. But for the last two(ish) weeks I've read at least one chapter every night, so that helps:P

Hello! It's been a while but nothing much have happened since last time. I'm still reading Edge of Eternity and hopefully I will finish it soon! I know...It takes some time to finish it and I don't have a really good excuse other than I haven't been in a reading mood or had that much time lately (blaming my bf for staying a week at a time). At least I'm over halfway in the book and I still enjoy reading it. So far, so good!

I was actually supposed to blog last week about my new books (the day after I made my first yt video in fact) but it's been a busy week and my boyfriend was here for a few days too.. anyway..

I'm still reading the last book in The Century trilogy by Ken Follett so it might take a while before I will do a review on that one. So i guess in the mean time I will write about other books that I've already finished and maybe make some videos.. (already got 3 videos that I haven't edited yet..hopefully they will be up soon!)
