Don't You Forget About Me - Alexandra Potter

I told you I would write a review today and here it is! Managed to finished it late last night zZz...
Anyway! So this is the first book I've read by Alexandra Potter and I'm pretty sure I will read more of her books! If you like girly books and also into Ali McNamara, Sophie Kinsella and so on, you might like this one too :)

The Blurb:
After a bad break up, doesn't every girl want the same things?

  • For her ex-boyfriend to stay single forever...
  • Or maybe emigrate, to a remote, uninhabited island?
  • Better still, that she'd never met him in the first place!
But what if one of those wishes came true?

Tess is heartbroken when Seb breaks up with her and can't help blaming herself. If only she'd done things differently. If only she could make right all her regrets... But she can't. It's over. She has to forget about him. Drunk and upset on New Year's Eve, she wishes she'd never met him.

But when she wakes up to discover this dream has come true, she realises she has a chance. To do it all over again. And, this time, to get it right...

From the bestselling author of Me and Mr. Darcy, this funny, magical love story is for every girl who has loved, lost and dreamt of getting her man back.

My Thoughts:
After reading so many not-so-romantic books, it was nice to dive into this one. I wanted to read a funny, romantic book and couldn't have asked for a better one. I really enjoy reading these kind of books that's romantic, but also got a lot of funny moments so I knew I would like this one. I do read Ali McNamara, Sophie Kinsella, Paige Toon and so on, and this is in the same category as those! Yey!

I did get a bit frustrated (not in a bad way though :P ) about Tess sometimes. If I was her, I would have known that this won't work at all. But of course, when you're in love with someone, it's not that easy to let go and you want to try everything to make things right. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. I mean, look at me, I'm back with my boyfriend again around two years after we broke up! So yeah, things can work out in the end! :P

Anyway, even though I got a bit frustrated, I also thought it was funny to read all the stuff she did just to make him like her. Every time she lied about liking something, even though she really hated it, I knew that these things won't end very well. And of course I was right. But she did try her best though! I really try not to spoil anything in case you want to read this but it's so hard!

I can say this: There was this guy I really wanted her to fall in love with, because he sounded so much better and she did not have to pretend around him.
So many sweet things happened during the last few chapters and this book left me smiling and laughing till the end!

Dream a Little Dream - Giovanna Fletcher

This is my first review and I'm gonna start it with this lovely book by Giovanna Fletcher! I'm bad at writing reviews (actually, writing at all) so this is me telling about this book so here we go!

From the author of Billy and Me and You're the One that I Want, Giovanna Fletcher have released a new book called Dream a Little Dream. If you haven't read any of her books, i suggest that you should! I got all her books (apart from the sequel of Dream a Little Dream) and I really enjoy reading them. She got two christmas special sequels called Christmas with Billy and Me and Dream a Little Christmas Dream.

The Blurb:

Sarah is doing just fine...
Sure, she's been single for the last two years, and has to spend an uncomfortable amount of time around her ex-boyfriend, his perfect new girlfriend and all their mutual friends. And yes, her job as a PA to one of the most disgusting men in London is mind-numbingly tedious and her career is a constant disappointment to her mother. But it's really okay. She's happy(ish).

So it's not surprising that when Sarah starts dreaming about a handsome stranger, she begins to look forward to falling asleep every night. Reality isn't nearly as exciting. That is until her dream-stranger makes an unexpected real-life appearance, leaving Sarah questioning everything she thought she wanted.

Because no one ever really finds the person of their dreams... do they?

My Thoughts:

I enjoyed reading this book. It's a little bit different from her previous books, but not much. It's about Sarah's nightly dreams and her day to day life at her job and in private. It's charming and sweet and lovely (i could go on and on) to read and I smiled almost through the whole book. I also had tears in my eyes a few times. That's how good it was!

Unfortunately, it took me some time to finish this book, because of traveling and tired evenings. But if it wasn't for me being tired in the evenings and the traveling, then I would had finished it in 1-2 days. Luckily I got right back in it and continue reading without problem.

All in all, great book and I can't wait to read the christmas special of this one!
