Second Life - S. J. Watson

Second Life is the first book I've read from S.J. Watson. It took me a while to finish it because I ended up watching every single episode from season 1-6 of The Walking Dead during Easter :P Wanted to check it out and ended up binge-watching it... oh well... But now I'm finished and here's my review!

The Blurb:
She loves her husband.
She's obsessed with a stranger.

She's a devoted mother.
She's prepared to lose everything.

She knows what she's doing.
She's out of control.

She's innocent.
She's guilty as sin.

She's living two lives.
She might lose both.

My Thoughts:
Like I wrote on the blog last time, I mentioned that this book was slow in the beginning and that things might speed up a bit after some chapters. I was right. But it took some time to get to the part where things did actually happen. I think one of the reasons that it took me so long to finish this was because there wasn't that much things that happened in the beginning and I also got a bit annoyed at the character. The way she thought about this stranger and that she continued to do things even though she knew it was a bad thing to do. Of course, it can be difficult to get away if you really like someone. I get that, but it was just annoying that she came back to this person again and again while I sat there thinking: No! Don't! Please get away!God you're stupid.... -.-'
When things really started to happen (over halfway through), I could barely put it down. It was a huge twist in the end of the book and I wanted to know what happened after the last page.

I bought the debut novel Before I Go To Sleep by S. J. Watson today so if that's not proof enough that I ended up liking this book then I don't know ;)

One creepy looking book... (New book)

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (Nr. 1 in the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children trilogy) by Ransom Riggs

So, I've seen this book sometimes around the internet and thought it was a really creepy book because of the cover, but yesterday I saw the trailer by Tim Burton and it turned out to be not so creepy after all.. just a bunch of kids with abilities (probably a lot more is going to happen I know..). So today I decided to buy it at last :) I think I'm going to read it after I finish Second Life by SJ Watson which, by the way, I'm currently reading.

And talking about Second Life, I haven't read that much of it yet, but I will probably finish it by next week. Yes, long time to read it, but right now I'm currently playing sims 4 and got a lot of things to collect (got a long list of collectible items so I'm busy doing that apparently). So for now I'm gonna read it whenever I take some break from sims and other things :P

There's not much that have happened yet and the beginning was kind of 'slow', but I think that things might pick up a little bit soon (hopefully), especially after the end of the last chapter I read last night. We'll see. Maybe I end up ditching sims soon and read and read and read because serious things are happening :P

That was it for now and I will come back soon to do a review!

Bye! x

New books..again and some thoughts

Hello! Yes, I got me some new books! Again...
That's have it goes when my mom need something at the bookstore...I can't help it :P

Oh well.. At least now I got an excuse to write here though. :)
So here are my new books:

The Retribution of Mara Dyer (nr. 3 in the Mara Dyer Trilogy) by Michelle Hodkin
The Accident by C. L. Taylor
Second Life by S J Watson

Only three books this time so it wasn't that many :P

In other news.
I thought I could have a page over the books that's sequels or in a series og trilogies. Which means that I'm going to write about the first book on the main page like I always do and if there's a sequel or series then I will put them in a 'page'. Maybe I'll make a new page for each series/trilogies. So for you who don't want any spoilers you're safe to scroll down my blog :P Not I really write that much spoilers though.. so yeah. That's what I'm going to do after I'm finished here.

Aaaand when it comes to Edge of Eternity, I'm almost finished with it! FINALLY! Think I got around 100 pages or something left so the review will come any day now! Taken me ages to get through that book! 2 month! In case you're wondering; no, it's not boring, it's just that I haven't had that much time to read lately and don't feel like reading while my bf staying over for almost a week. But for the last two(ish) weeks I've read at least one chapter every night, so that helps:P

And that was everything I wanted to share today.
Hopefully, the next time i write here then it will be Edge of Eternity!

Bye x
