One last book...I promise...really...I do...

I keep telling myself to not buy any books for a while because I got so many in my shelf that I haven't read yet. But today... at work... I just had to buy this book because last time we had them, they got sold out almost the same day we got them and now they're back in stock. So this time I didn't take any chances so I just grabbed it and bought it right away before they were gone.

And the book I'm talking about as you can see is this (as you probably figured out right away because the picture's right under here):

LOOK AT THAT GORGEOUS COVER!! (and yes I got a tardis on my mac in case you were wondering :P )

Of course I needed "book 8" since Harry Potter has been a part of my childhood! My dad used to read them for me before bedtime so it's kind of a huge part of me and I will finish reading the last books I got left of the series! I know... shocking, but when I got older I thought I was to old for bedtime stories and then they came out as movies. I watched them all and got all the books in english (my dad read them in Norwegian) and I only have one and a half (?) books left. But the thing is that, since I've already watched them, I know what's happening (I know there are things that's only in the books) so I don't have that urge to read them atm. One day I will finish them all. But not right now. And that's all I have to say about that *Forrest Gump voice* :P

Currently reading update
I started reading Sand late last night and haven't gotten that far though, but what I do know is that there's loads of sand and more sand and people and sand and some work and more sand. And that's all there is right now in the beginning :P

That's all for now!

Dust - Hugh Howey (#3, Silo Trilogy) Review

Click here to read the last review on this trilogy.
For the ones who hasn't finished Shift or wants to read this trilogy: Don't read this review as it contains spoilers for you guys!

The end of a great trilogy is here and I have to say it's sad to leave Jules and the rest of the characters. I will miss them all!

If you haven't read any of the books, then...why haven't you?? It's great, it's awesome, it's dystopia, it's sci-fi, it's...I could go on and on! If you're still not sure if you want to read the Silo trilogy then fear not. I did a review of the first one right here. I know it's kinda bad review as all the other ones that I have written, but I hope it will help you. If you're still unsure then I suggest that you look it up on goodreads to read more reviews (that's probably better than mine) and make your decision then.

Let's just say that if you like the Hunger Games trilogy or the Divergent trilogy and all the other books that's in that category, then I know you will like this one as well!

Ok.. it's getting late and I want to start on another book by Hugh Howey called Sand which is kind of a part of the Silo trilogy I think... My coworker told me that I shouldn't read Sand before I finished Dust because it would be some spoilers. Will know more about it when I dive into the book pretty soon!

Bye xx

Bookgeek + Working in a Bookstore = More books in my shelf

Told myself after last book haul that I wouldn't buy more books in a while...
Was quiet at work today and I ended up buying more books...
Maybe working in a bookstore is no good for me and my shelves (seriously!) :P Won't quit my job though no matter what so my shelves just has to deal with it!

So here we are, again, with 6 more books. On the bright side, I got a reason to blog about other things while waiting on the review for the book(s) I'm currently reading.
Anyway. Today's little "book-hoarding" includes these books:

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Night School (#1, Night School series) by C. J. Daugherty
An Ember in the Ashes (#1, An Ember in the Ashes) by Sabaa Tahir
Sand (#1-5, Sand) by Hugh Howey
The Passage (#1, The Passage) by Justin Cronin
Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris

And that's that! Hopefully these will be the last for a looong while because I got so many books right now and I have to finish them all (or most of them that is).

Currently reading update
Since I'm already here I can tell you that I'm almost done reading Dust and that I might be able to finish it tomorrow (Wednesday, hopefully) or on Thursday. So expect a review coming up real soon!

See you soon!

GISHWHES and new books!

And by new books, I mean the ones I bought a few weeks ago (after the previous blog post)...

I wanted to wait till I got all the books that I've ordered (also ended up buying a few more at work in the meantime) and today I finally got the last one in the mail. Yey!

Been waiting for this book for weeks! So happy to have this book which probably sound weird, but I am! :D Found out about Carrie Fletcher through her brother Tom who's in a band that I have been a fan of for 12 years (McFly if you wanted to know). And I've also been watching her videos on her youtube channels for the past few years. It's the same thing with Tom's wife, Giovanna and when I got her first book (Billy and me). I'm proud of them both for coming this far and am so happy to get the chance to read their books and also knowing that I will love the stories before I even read them.

So there's that!

Anyway... so over to the latest additions to my bookshelves:

The Lake House by Kate Morton
The Little Shop of Happy Ever After by Jenny Colgan
The Key to It All by Joanna Rees
Inkheart (#1, Inkworld trilogy) by Cornelia Funke
Inkspell (#2, Inkworld trilogy) by Cornelia Funke
Inkdeath (#3, Inkworld trilogy) by Cornelia Funke
On the Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Agnes Grey (Three novels collection) by the Brontë Sisters

And that was all of the new books!

Updates on currently-reading (and "gishing")
Not long now! Tried reading every day or more like every night and at work to finish this but it's taken me some time to finish it :P Been working and "gishing" this past week(s) so I haven't had that much time or energy to read for very long when lying in bed at night :P But the book is really good! In this book you get to know about how it all started and why people are living in silos.

And talking about "gishing", this  year was the first time I signed up to GISHWHES (The Greatest Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen)! Have wanted to try it out for a few years, but haven't had the money or the guts to try it out. This year I decided to finally sign myself up and go through with it (also got my bf to sign up or more liked begged him to sign up with me).
Seriously... even thought I didn't do as much as my teammates, but I had lots of fun doing this! For someone who's shy, socially awkward and also got some degree of socially anxiety, this has been a huge thing for me to do. I literally dressed up as a prospector (looking for gold in a public fountain) and a zombie (at work) this week and that was waaay over my comfort zone. But I did it! Yey! And I also have to add that I made a panda out of sanitary pads (named him Padnalecki)....yeh... It turned out great though and the panda looked really cute X) But anyway.. it was a lot of fun and I hope that I'm able to do it next year too!

Have to go now 'cause dinner's ready and I'm hungry!

GISHWHES <- In case you want to know more about GISHWHES
