Feedback - Robison Wells (Variant #2)

Feedback is the sequel to Variant by Robison Wells. I was so happy I had both books on the bookshelf. After finishing the first I just had to read the sequel because of the ending in Variant.

The Blurb:
Benson Fisher thought the worst was over when he escaped from Maxfield Academy. But now he's trapped in a town where everyone is a pawn in the school's twisted experiment.
While Benson struggles to figure out who he can trust, he realizes that Maxfield's plans are darker than anything he imagined - and they may be impossible to stop.

My Thoughts:
Although I liked the story, I have to say (hopefully for the first and the last time) that I was a little bit disappointed with the ending. Because the whole planning with how to escape that place sounded thrilling and I imagined a completely different ending. Even though there was a big twist in the end, I was still a bit disappointed. Just, you know... a bit weird ending that I didn't like much because I had some expectations of what I thought might happen. But I'm still going to rate this book 4/5 anyways because I liked everything else in this book. After a few chapters, things started to slow down a bit. And when I came to the part where they starts to plan an escape and stuff, it started to pick up again and had me going for a while before it slowed down a bit and then back up again :P

It was also nice to meet many of the characters from the last book too and to know that some of them did not die after all. And I was surprised of how many of them was actually dupes! I don't want to spoil anything other than that there are good things and (mostly) bad things that happens in this town. There's also things that happens to the people who lives in that town too. Ok, I'm done.

All in all, despite the weird ending, I still enjoyed it and I don't want to write a bad review for this because it's was as good as the first one. Not sure what else to say so I'm gonna leave this here and you can decide (and maybe do more research) if you're thinking about reading Feedback or not ;)

4/5
