The Cuckoo's Calling - Robert Galbraith

The Cuckoo's Calling is the debut mystery novel in the Cormoran Strike series that J. K. Rowling have written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. The Silkworm and  Career of Evil are the next books in this series. I've read the second book, The Silkworm and going to buy the latest one in this series, Career of Evil, soon.

The Blurb:

When a troubled model falls to her death from a Mayfair balcony, it is assumed that she has committed suicide. However, her brother has his doubts and calls in private detective Cormoran Strike to investigate.

Strike is a war veteran - wounded both physically and psychologically - and his private life is in disarray. The Case gives him a financial lifeline but comes at a personal cost: the more he delves into the young model's world, the darker things become and the closer he gets to terrible danger...

My Thoughts:

For someone who just started to read mystery/crime books, this was a great read. I enjoyed this book and could barely put it down. All the mystery and drama and trying to figure out what happened to the girl. I tried to find out the killer and still got shocked when Strike reveals who had done it! It's a story that will keep you guessing who the real killer is and all the mystery around this whole investigation.

5/5
