Gone - Lisa McMann (Dream Catcher #3)

Gone is the last book in the Dream Catcher Trilogy by Lisa McMann. I know I'm going to miss this trilogy. I really enjoyed them although this trilogy turned out to be completely different from what I thought they would be. But hey! Glad I read them all! Of course, these books might not be for everyone mind you. Probably too late to say that now though.. oh well..

The Blurb:
Open your eyes.

Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she'd made her peace with it. But she can't handle dragging Cabel down with her.

She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He's amazing. And she's a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves: She has to disappear. And it's going to kill them both.

Then a stranger enters her life - and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she'd ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out...

My Thoughts:
Before I read this last book, I looked halfway through the reviews on goodreads. I wasn't planning on doing that, but it happened. Anyway, there reviews that said that they didn't like how the last book turned out and that they were disappointed and stuff. So here's what I thought about this last book in this trilogy.

There was no action going on in this. But there were some sad parts though. I'm not going to spoil it! Just saying that it was sad that she found out about this stranger a little too late.

You get to know more about the isolating version of her ability as a dream catcher and I have to say, it's not that great. What annoyed me a little about Janie in this book is that I already had a feeling of why this stranger suffered the way he (yes, it's a he) did, but she didn't thought about that until nearly the end of the story. When she had to make her decision that's when she figured it out. Poor girl... it must have been really hard to decide which one of these choices she wanted to live with. I think I might would have chosen the same as her if I was a dream catcher, but I would have been scared for a while.

I have no idea what else to say about this since I've already made reviews on the others and there wasn't that much else to say about Gone other than that I liked it. I had no idea that this trilogy would end like this, but I thought it was a nice (but sad) way to end this way.

4/5
