Dust - Hugh Howey (#3, Silo Trilogy)

Dust is the last book in this amazing Silo trilogy by Hugh Howey. I'm so glad I bought Wool without really knowing what I was getting into! This is another one out of many of the books I've read that I want someone turn into a movie one day. Seriously!

The Blurb:
In the aftermath of a revolution, the people of Silo 18 are coming to terms with a new order.

Some embrace the change, others fear the unknown.
None have control of their fate.
The Silo is still in danger from those who want it destroyed.
And Jules knows she must stop them.
The battle for the Silo has been won.
The war for humanity is just beginning.

My Thoughts:
It's sad to end this trilogy to be honest. Even though it took me a while to finish Wool and Shift, but that was because of lack of energy and time to sit down and relax while reading the books. With Dust, it took me no time at all to finish because now I wanted to know how this story would end and didn't stop reading till I got so tired I just had to put it down. It was also shorter than the others and that's also one of the reasons why I finish it wee bit faster than the others :P But anyways...

So back to the book! In Dust you'll meet the people from Wool as well as the people from Shift. Which means that you'll get to read about the things that's currently happening with the people from both Silos. With Jules, Solo, the kids and Donald and so on... (not going to name more names 'cause spoilers). Without spoiling much I can say that there's loads of planning going on it the Silos, people dies, hope grows, more planning and new discoveries, help, and a great ending that was (for once, more or less) satisfying. Although I wouldn't mind reading more and more and more! It was some sad scenes but also lots of joy and happiness for the characters and I have to say that I'm going to miss them all!

This whole trilogy has been an amazing read and I loved every single page and characters (apart from the bad people...I hated them..obiously). The way the chapters was set up was also not bad at all and it was easy to get used to reading about both the people from Silo 1 and the ones from Silo 18 (easier than The Century trilogy by Ken Follett...just saying...that was a lot of people to remember). And another thing that I liked about this trilogy was that, in Wool, I get to know about the people living and working in Silo 18. In Shift I get to know about the story behind the Silos and how it all happened and also get to know the people that had done all this. And in Dust they get "merged" together and the chapters were divided into the different Silos the characters was in. I could go on and on about the things I liked, but I won't because this whole review has got to a point were the stuff I write doesn't make any sense anymore.

So with that I have two things left to say before I say my goodbyes:

1. I really hope that Silo will turn into a movie and if it does I hope it will be as awesome as the books!

2. My coworker told me that there was another book by Hugh Howey called Sand (which I obviously bought few days ago) that takes place in the same universe as this trilogy (?) and the characters in this one was new and none of the old ones are in it (I think). She told me that I had to read it since I've already read Silo. I am thinking about doing just that after finishing this review because I know that I will be too curious about Sand not to read it right away!

Bye! xx

5/5
